Terms & Conditions
Not yet in public release — these terms will take effect at launch.
Agreement
These terms govern your use of StareBrain, a natural-language command app for Android. By creating an account or using the app once it launches, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
StareBrain is currently in development. Features, commands, and behavior described here and on the site are targets we're building toward and may change before or after launch.
What StareBrain does
You give StareBrain a command in plain language. It interprets that command, shows you exactly what it plans to do, and only acts once you confirm. StareBrain will never take an action outside a permission category you've explicitly granted.
Supported actions in the initial release are limited to messaging, calendar events, device control (wifi, bluetooth, airplane mode), app launching, and phone calls. Anything else is out of scope until a later release.
Your account
You need an account to use StareBrain. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything done through your account.
You must be old enough, under the law where you live, to agree to these terms on your own. If you believe a minor is using StareBrain without appropriate consent, contact us and we'll act on it.
Permissions and confirmation
StareBrain only proposes actions within permission categories you've turned on, and shows you a plain-language confirmation before anything runs. Declining a confirmation cancels the action — nothing happens without your approval.
You can revoke any permission at any time. Once revoked, StareBrain will stop proposing that category of action.
You're responsible for reviewing what a command will do before confirming it. StareBrain shows you its plan in good faith, but you're the one approving the action.
Acceptable use
Don't use StareBrain to send messages, place calls, or take any action you wouldn't be allowed to take yourself — including harassment, spam, or anything illegal where you live.
Don't attempt to bypass the confirmation step, reverse-engineer the app, overload the service, or use it in a way that could disrupt it for other users.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
Third-party processing
Commands are interpreted using a third-party language model (Nvidia NIM). We send it the command text and your granted permissions to get back a structured action plan. Use of StareBrain means you accept that this processing step happens as part of how commands are understood.
No warranty
StareBrain is provided as-is, especially during this pre-launch and early-access period. We aim for commands to succeed the large majority of the time, but language understanding isn't perfect, and you should always review the confirmation screen before approving an action.
We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose beyond what's described here.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, StareBrain and its creators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including a message sent, an event booked, or an action taken based on a confirmation you approved.
Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
Changes to the service or these terms
We're actively building StareBrain and may add, change, or remove commands and features as the product develops. We'll flag material changes to these terms in the app before they take effect.
Termination
You can stop using StareBrain and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service.
Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the address that will be published here at launch.
